U19 Team Defeat Coaches in First Annual Grudge Match
On May 31, the U19 spring team played the first annual Evanston AYSO grudge match against a ragged assemblage of over-the-hill AYSO coaches who longed to relive their glory days (as if). It was a hard-fought contest, with the teams tied 3-3 in regulation. Fortunately for the U19 team, Regional Commissioner Steve "the sieve" Levine was in goal for the penalty kick contest, yielding goals to any U19 player who happened to kick it his way. On the plus side for the Coaches team, while their fragile egos may have been broken, no one broke any bones. Congrats to the U19 Spring team!!

Victorious U19 Team

The Motley Coach Crew
We (always) need more volunteers!!!!!!
As you know, we are an all-volunteer organization. It is one of the things that makes Evanston AYSO truly special. But we are only as strong as our volunteers and could always use more support, whether as a coach, ref, board member or other volunteer. Please contact commissioner@evanstonsoccer.org for more information about volunteer opportunities, or click here to learn the basics about volunteer opportunities at Evanston AYSO.
