WE NEED VOLUNTEERS AT EACH IN-PERSON REGISTRATION SESSION!!! IF YOU CAN VOLUNTEER FOR ONE OR MORE SESSIONS, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO registrar@evanstonsoccer.org.  The more volunteers we have, the faster the registration process.

SUMMER SOCCER CAMP -- 2008
AYSO Summer Camp was a huge hit last year, as more than 200 kids attended, with rave reviews.  This year, like last year, we are having two sessions, June 16-20 and August 4-8.  Sign up for one or both weeks, mornings afternoons or full day.  Click here to register or learn more.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!!!!

As an all-volunteer organization, we are always in need of more volunteers to help us out. We are looking for new coaches, referees, administrators, and other necessary volunteers that make this program successful in developing kids through soccer. You don’t need to know how to perform a job, we’ll teach you. Position descriptions are availble here. If you are interested in any of the positions mentioned above, or would like to help with one of our upcoming events, just leave a voicemail on the AYSO hotline (847-328-2976), or send an email to one of the board members listed on the contact page. There are many needs to fill, both on the field and off.

NEW LIGHTNING POLICY
As you may know, the City of Evanston has purchased a lightning monitoring system for James and Crown Parks.  The system will monitor the atmosphere for conditions that might lead to a lightning strike and give an all clear.  The warning will be a 15-second horn blast.  As long as the warning is in effect, a yellow strobe light will be on.  As long as the light is on, all fields must be cleared and play stopped.  The all clear will be 3 fifteen second horn blasts, after which play may resume. All Evanston AYSO participants are required to follow this important and prudent new safety policy.
